What levels of language ability does BULATS test?
  • BULATS tests are suitable for all learners who need a language test with a business or workplace focus.
  • There is no “Pass Mark”.
  • Candidates are placed in one of the six levels or bands.
  • Scores are expressed as ALTE Levels which are closely linked to the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEF)
  • Candidates receive an overall BULATS score and scores for Listening, and Reading and Language Knowledge.
  • Each score is out of 100.
